In 2015, the City of Harelbeke started work on redeveloping the market square. A wonderful task! The City of Harelbeke wanted to install a self-cleaning public toilet and a new bus stop on the square in the final phase, so it issued a tender for this.
Everything is designed and produced in-house
The Pop-Up Toilet Company is a real contributor, so it takes a peek over the shoulder during the advice phase. It turned out that a number of essential matters had not been included in the tender, one being the design of the toilet.
For example, the tender requested a “standard” bus shelter next to the toilet. The Pop-Up Toilet Company had other ideas, and created a custom design of a toilet integrated with a bus stop. The design was approved, and the toilet unit neatly made to measure.
That is the great advantage of the Pop-Up Toilet Company; everything is designed and produced in-house. LED lighting, seating, and charging options with a USB cable; everything is included. The toilet is futureproof, and fitted with connection points for a digital screen. The exterior cladding is tailored to the environment; natural stone blends beautifully into the street scene. The toilet was installed to great satisfaction in late 2020. A really amazing project!
