Socially involved and sustainable organisation
Pop-Up Toilet is conscious of its social commitment to the environment. That is why we set ourselves environmental goals such as:
- Reducing energy costs, both in production and in use.
- Reducing paper use.
- Energy efficient scheduling and driving of maintenance routes.
- The generation of green electricity, both for production and for on-site maintenance.
- The deployment of sustainable means of transport.
- Continuously stimulating the sustainable alternatives.
- Creating awareness among our suppliers with regard to environmental aspects.
CO2-reduction
- All the vehicles deployed by Pop-Up Toilet Company are A-label vehicles or vehicles of environmental class 5 or higher. For example, our recently purchased service buses are all environmental class 6.
- The company building and all our facilities only use Led lighting.
- By means of the development of a new toilet system for temporary facilities, we have been able to realise a CO2 reduction of more than 80%!
Waste reduction
Pop-Up Toilet achieves waste reduction by designing, sourcing and packaging in a ‘waste restricting’ manner. This is not only good for the environment but also saves a considerable amount of money. For the remaining waste, a thorough waste separation has been set up. Pop-Up Toilet also wants to further reduce the use of paper. The paper we use is always FSC paper or Cradle to Cradle paper.
Pop-Up Toilet offers sustainable products
Sustainability and future reuse are a standard requirement in the design of our sanitary facilities. The flexible design and construction methods of our facilities mean that they can be easily adapted and applied in a circular economy.
Should there be no further use for the facility within your own organisation, Pop-Up Toilet can mediate to give it a second life outside your organisation. With our extensive network at home and abroad, we are uniquely qualified to shape a circular economy as regards public sanitation.
Should the facility reach the end of its service life, the materials used can easily be separated and recycled separately.
Contributing to a healthy and liveable city center
Over 2 million people with stomach, liver and or bowel disorders and the disabled are dependent on the presence of sufficient and hygienic outdoor sanitary facilities. Add to this the 3 million elderly people and almost 1/3rd of the Dutch population is dependent on hygienic sanitary facilities. By providing sufficient and, above all, hygienic public sanitary facilities, we promote the use and quality of life for all target groups both in the inner cities and beyond. Residents, visitors and tourists must be able to move freely without having to worry about where the next public toilet might be.
