Oui, oui… Paris, the city of love! A wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful architecture. 2.2 million people live in Paris, and the city also welcomes nearly 50 million tourists a year. It’s therefore important that the public toilets are neatly in order. Urinating in the open air? Non, merci!
A fine example of Dutch craftsmanship in the city of love
Paris already had 400 self-cleaning toilet units, but they turned out to be insufficient to deal with the needs. Une solution? Oui, avec le Pop-Up Toilet Company! The UriLift turned out to be a great solution, and perfect for the situation. The UriLift is retractable, and can therefore be deployed when necessary and return to below ground level if the street surface is needed.
What a challenge! Paris is a busy city, and there is limited space to carry out this precision work. It all had to be thought out very carefully in advance. The Pop-Up Toilet Company’s engineers found it a great challenge. And yes… This assignment again showed that no bridge is too far for our designers and installers: a sewer connection was even made at a depth of 4 (!) metres. The first UriLift Combi is located in Place des Abbesses, in the heart of Paris. The compact, telescopic design of the UriLift Combi makes it perfect for the busy metro entrance. A fine example of Dutch craftsmanship, of which we are extremely proud.
