The municipality of Purmerend sought assistance in finding the right public sanitation solution for its city center that fully met its requirements and wishes.
The numerous possibilities fascinated Dirk
The absence of a public toilet in the center of Purmerend gained increasing attention. It all began in 2018 when the municipality was looking for a public toilet for the Koemarkt. Dirk Korringa, appointed by the municipality, was tasked with pioneering the project. Dirk, a practical-minded person with an interest in technology, wanted to visit public toilets in the field and see the technology for himself. Soon, Dirk was impressed by the sanitary innovations of Pop-Up Toilet Company, from retractable toilets and urinals to self-cleaning, accessible toilets for people with disabilities. The many possibilities fascinated Dirk.
Initially, an attempt was made to install a retractable toilet at the Koemarkt, but ultimately, the decision was made to install a fully automated, self-cleaning toilet. The municipality chose the toilet from Pop-Up Toilet Company, the world’s most advanced self-cleaning 5STAR accessible toilet. They were impressed by its excellent quality and advanced cleaning and management system, which went beyond other self-cleaning toilets.
“We are extremely satisfied with the approach of Pop-Up Toilet Company. They provided thorough advice with numerous examples and innovative sanitary solutions. The production and installation process went smoothly because Pop-Up Toilet Company can handle everything in-house. We are very happy with the delivered self-cleaning toilet and its operation; to this day, we have never had to manage a cleaning service.”
